An interpretation of Frantz Fanon’s ‘Black Skin, White Masks’ & Aimé Césaire’s ‘Discourse on Colonialism’, Imprisonment explores the colonial construction of racialised identity, societal racial hierarchies and the positioning of Whiteness and Blackness.
These 2 books had a profound effect on my practice & taught me about the colonial, hierarchical structure of society & how it continues to shape how we see each other & ourselves.
